Poems
This is where you can find the few poems of mine which I have either translated from German (the ones with two dates), or which have originally been written in English. I hope to get around to translating some more eventually.

The Dialogue
I attended lectures yesterday.
I want to go swimming today.
I’ve got an exam tomorrow.
The last time I went with an old friend.
I’m too busy lately.
I really miss him
and our conversations.
All I want to do is talk to some friends
without thinking about all of this.
Of course, it’s nice to talk to you as well.
I think I’ll have pizza today.
I Perspective
I don’t see me
but you I see
but if I do
really see you
I do not know.
’Cause if I see you
I see just me
and ’cause I do
not see me,
I don’t see you.
What I see instead
I do not know.
Just what I don’t see,
that I know.
And why not?
Scraggly Pines Bow Low
Scraggly pines bow low
under the weight of sharp light
cutting through white clouds.
Time flies by as seasons change,
yet my heavy hope persists…

Window
I look out of the window:
1 tree, green leaves, partly brown-yellowish and red, aspen
3 children climbing rusted monkey bars.
noise
1 bicyclist, black bicycle.
the house across the street, a slab-construction building in need of renovation
brown paint, peeling off
polka-dotted curtains, violet on white.
an old man wearing a cap, who shuffles along the street
a bird (a great tit, probably) on one of the branches.
